Second to last Middle School TAG.

 We had our second to last TAG session today.

Each of our children have completed their first task which has been a BIG one...to do research all about their favourite inspirational pupil and then make a drawing, poster and Character Rubric assessment about them.

We each videoed our presentation and shared it on Seesaw. Then we had a quick challenging games session before working on Task 2 - What makes a good leader? What makes a bad leader?

or Task 3 which is a choice from the new Social Sciences Curriculum - Either learning about a Culture of our choice, an organisation of our choice and how it is structured or investigate a place in New Zealand that is important to our family and why.

Seniors in Action

We are now getting some people finishing their study on their inspiring person including doing a Character Assessment on them against our Allenton School Character Rubric. Once completed the students move on to investigating what makes a good leader. They have been sharing these as they go and have come up with excellent points that are sure to help them now and into the future. Some have even come up with things that leaders should never do. After each child has shared their Leadership learning we then move onto a choice from thee areas from the refreshed Social Studies curriculum. These are ; 1. The ways people show their culture. 2. How organisations are structured - from Government to clubs. 3. How specific places in New Zealand are important to people and that people show their connection to places through very different means. So far we have some middle school pupils who are investigating these topics are they have worked diligently through the other two.
